Melissa Barrera is a Mexican actress and singer, known for her work in both television and film. She was born on July 4, 1990, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Barrera began her acting career in Mexican telenovelas, appearing in “Siempre Tuya Acapulco” and “Tanto Amor,” among others. Barrera’s breakthrough role came in 2021 when she starred as Vanessa in the movie adaptation of the musical “In the Heights.” In 2022, Barrera took on the lead role in the musical film “Carmen,” directed by Benjamin Millepied, which premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival. Taylor Zakhar Perez is best known for his role as Marco Valentin Peña in the popular Netflix film “The Kissing Booth 2” (2020) and its sequel “The Kissing Booth 3” (2021). In the movies, he played the romantic interest of Elle Evans (played by Joey King).
