Mike Faist and Lucas Hedges were spotted practicing for the West End stage adaptation of ‘Brokeback Mountain‘. The West End adaptation is based on Annie Proulx’s short story, and it was previously adapted as a 2005 film by Ang Lee, starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. See the images below.
Mike Faist and Lucas Hedges play Jack and Ennis, who take jobs on the remote Brokeback Mountain and develop a relationship. Ashley Robinson wrote the screenplay, while Dan Gillespie Sells wrote the songs. (Via Variety)
Jonathan Butterell will direct. Nica Burns, Adam Blanshay Productions, Lambert Jackson Productions, and Katy Lipson produce for Aria Entertainment. Burns, Butterell, and Sells previously worked together on the hit musical “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.”
‘Brokeback Mountain’ will be played at the new West End venue @sohoplace from May 10 to August 12.
