In Marvel Comics, Hulkling is part of the Young Avengers team. His real name is Theodore Altman, and he is a half-Kree, half-Skrull hybrid with shape-shifting abilities, superhuman strength, and other powers. Hulkling’s origins are revealed in the Young Avengers comics. His mother, Mar-Vell’s former lover, was a Kree princess named Anelle who fell in love with the Skrull commander Dorrek VIII, who later became the Skrull Emperor. Anelle died giving birth to Hulkling, who was raised by his adoptive father, a woman named Lisa Altman, who was actually a Skrull sent to protect him.
