Benoît Delhomme‘s ‘Mothers’ Instinct‘ VOD/Digital release date has been confirmed. The film will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies & TV on August 13, 2024.
The film, directed by Delhomme in his directorial debut, is a remake of Olivier Masset-Depasse’s 2018 French-language film, which was itself an adaptation of the 2012 novel ‘Mothers’ Instinct’ by Barbara Abel.
What is the Plot of Mothers’ Instinct?
Set in the early ‘60s, Mothers’ Instinct follows best friends and neighbors Alice (Jessica Chastain) and Celine (Anne Hathaway), who live an idyllic traditional lifestyle with manicured lawns, successful husbands, and sons of the same age. Life’s perfect harmony is suddenly shattered after a tragic accident. Guilt, suspicion, and paranoia combine to unravel their sisterly bond, and a psychological battle of wills begins as the maternal instinct reveals its darker side.
The film also stars Josh Charles, Anders Danielsen Lie, Caroline Lagerfelt, Eamon Patrick O’Connell as Theo, Baylen D. Bielitz as Max, and Alexander Blaise as Dr. Wallace.
Neon released ‘Mothers’ Instinct’ in the United States on July 26, 2024.
