Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day began filming in Glasgow, Scotland, as the street turned into the NYC streets for the filming. With Tom Holland returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, he was spotted on the set for a major action sequence featuring a tank chase scene and explosion being filmed.
According to insider Alex (via The Cosmic Circus), Mr. Negative and the Inner Demons will reportedly not appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Mr. Negative was previously rumored as the main villain in the movie.
We’ve received a report that Viper and Silver Samurai could reportedly be the main villains in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The rumors are that “A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics), the criminal organization last seen in Iron Man 3, will be tampering with Bruce Banner’s mind to turn him into the Savage Hulk.” Viper and Silver Samurai are said to be part of their organization.
On Pinterest, Monica Avitto, a costume and props designer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has shared a new album labeled “Spider-Man,” featuring a moodboard showcasing ideas for the movie’s villain.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon also reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast as Gwen Stacy, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. the Punisher), and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas has been cast in an undisclosed role, and Michael Mando is reprising his Spider-Man: Homecoming role as Mac Gargan.

After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.
In a recent interview with Collider, Marvel President Kevin Feige revealed that Peter Parker will be dealing with “street-level crime” in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Feige said, “I think there’s a promise at the end of No Way Home — that, for as sad as it is that Peter is forgotten by everyone in his life, we are seeing, for the first time in the Tom Holland Spider-Man stories, him being a proper Spider-Man. Him being by himself, dedicated to saving the city, and dealing with — for lack of a better term — street-level crime, as opposed to world-ending events.”
