Netflix revealed the exclusive trailer for ‘Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie‘. It is the first animated feature film based on the popular Miraculous series. The film will premiere on Netflix on July 28, 2023. Watch the trailer below.
According to the plot synopsis, ‘Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie’ follows ordinary teenager Marinette, whose life in Paris goes superhuman when she becomes Ladybug. Bestowed with magical powers of creation, Ladybug must unite with her opposite, Cat Noir, to save Paris as a new villain unleashes chaos on the city.
Directed by Jeremy Zag, who co-wrote the screenplay with Bettina López Mendoza and wrote the film’s original songs. Animation Studios in Montreal is handling animation. The film is produced by Zag, Aton Soumache, and Daisy Shang.
As part of the Netflix Family Summer lineup, Netflix will be releasing a variety of new kids and family films and series throughout the summer. Netflix will introduce Supa Team 4, the streaming platform’s first original animated series from Africa. The series revolves around four teen girls who are undercover superheroes residing in the futuristic African city of Lusaka. Supa Team 4 is scheduled to premiere on July 20, 2023.
Netflix aims to provide a wide range of options for family movie nights during the summer. Some of the new films and limited series include Nimona, an epic fantasy tale, set to be released in June; The Monkey King, an action-packed comedy inspired by a Chinese tale, coming on August 18; You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, a humorous coming-of-age movie for young adults, set to release on August 25; and Our Planet II, which offers extraordinary journeys through life, releasing on June 14.
Kids can also look forward to new and returning favorites such as LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising (June 1), Sonic Prime (July 13), Gabby’s Dollhouse (August 7), and Not Quite Narwhal (June 19) for preschoolers.
