TO MY GRIM COMPANIONS,

I OFFER MY THANKS FOR THE MANY HOURS OF BLOOD, SWEAT, AND OMINOUS LIGHTING THAT WENT INTO THIS PRODUCTION.

IF I HAD THE CAPACITY FOR WARMTH, I MIGHT EVEN SAY IT WAS A PLEASURE. BUT LET’S NOT GET CARRIED AWAY.
ETERNALLY UNGRATEFUL,
WEDNESDAY ADDAMS

A recent report from Entertainment Weekly revealed that Lady Gaga will appear in an undisclosed role in Wednesday Season 2. It could be a cameo or more than just a cameo. The source mentioned that the Wednesday production team had tried to secure Gaga for a larger role in Season 2, but ultimately, that did not work out.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Ortega said, “I think the feel we’re going for is a little bit more horror-inspired in Season 2.”

Ortega cited The Masque of the Red Death—the 1964 film based on an Edgar Allan Poe short story—as an inspiration. “Not to say that suddenly we’re the goriest show of all time,” Ortega qualifies. “I mean, there’s six-year-olds watching.” She teases an example: “We’re doing this thing now where Wednesday just kind of appears. She is a little bit of a jump scare herself.”

Tim Burton will direct four episodes, while Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson will also direct episodes this season.

Season 2 stars Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Ottinger, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Ritchie Santiago, Billie Piper as Capri, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Evie Templeton (role to be added), Owen Painter (role to be added), Noah Taylor (role to be added), Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams.

Burton will continue his role as director and executive producer in Season 2, with Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson also directing. Creators and showrunners Gough and Millar executive produce Wednesday alongside fellow EPs Ortega, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Tommy Harper, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman, and Meredith Averill.

Wednesday Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in 2025.
