Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday is set to begin filming in just a few days, with set construction in London nearly complete.
A new set image shared by user @UnBoxPHD on X (formerly Twitter) reveals a massive volcano eruption-style set built for the film. You can check out the image below.

During CinemaCon 2025, Marvel President Kevin Feige, in a video message, said that they have not revealed the full cast yet for Avengers: Doomsday. He also confirmed that the film will focus on the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, and the original X-Men all fighting Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the film is joined by longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely, who is penning the screenplay.

Ian McKellen as Magneto, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Lewis Pullman as Sentry.
Production for Doomsday is now underway in the United Kingdom. The film will mark the beginning of the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). As the multiverse nears total collapse, the Avengers must assemble to face their biggest challenge yet—incursions, catastrophic collisions between realities that could destroy the entire multiverse. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes must race against time to save their reality while confronting the powerful figure behind it all—Victor Von Doom (Downey Jr.).
