New concept art for ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘ features Spider-Man and Doctor Strange in action scenes from the Sam Raimi and TASM films.
New ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Concept Art Unveils Multiverse Chase for Spider-Man and Doctor Strange
The latest concept art from ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ reveals an alternate scene for the chase sequence between Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Instead of the mirror dimension, this chase occurs in the multiverse, where they move through different universes.
This includes the Sam Raimi and Amazing Spider-Man universes, as evidenced by the ring arena from the first Spider-Man film and the Oscorp Tower from the Amazing Spider-Man film.
The concept art, titled “Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) – Multiverse Chase Keyframes,” was shared by Phil Saunders, a concept artist who contributed to ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ on ArtStation
Saunders wrote, “One early idea for Spidey and Dr. Strange’s chase through the multiverse was to have them battle over the source of the spell (in this early version, the Book of Vishanti) through scenes from the previous movies. We were given a couple of days to play with that idea, taking screen caps from the movies and painting in Spidey and Doc. I liked the idea of taking the familiar shots and shifting the gravity and POV so that the characters would be in a completely different orientation than the action.”.
Recently, Saunders shared an image of Aunt May’s original death in an ambulance. In the film, Aunt May dies after being fatally injured in Peter Parker‘s apartment during a battle with the Green Goblin, Norman Osborn. She was supposed to say the famous Spider-Man motto, “With great power, there must also come great responsibility,” before passing away in the ambulance.
According to reports, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the writers of the previous MCU Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland, completed the script for Spider-Man 4 before the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes began. Holland confirms that the ‘Spider-Man 4’ script is looking good so far, but further details will soon be revealed. Will Miles Morales join Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 4’? There is a possibility of Miles Morales joining Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 4,’ as the film may explore the idea of a multiverse. Holland said, It’s hard to say, but Holland teased “some stuff going on” in the untitled Spider-Man 4 that he’s “excited about.” “Whether or not it’ll come to fruition, who knows?” Holland added, “But right now it’s looking pretty good, and we’ll just have to wait and see.” See more.
Holland’s Spider-Man 4 release date is scheduled for late 2025, by Sony Pictures.
