A new ‘Iron Fist‘ project is rumored to be in development, with a woman in the main role, as confirmed by Insider Daniel Richtman.
According to reports, Finn Jones may return as Danny Rand, but he won’t be the main Iron Fist in the MCU moving forward.
There are also reports that Jones’s Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist, may return in Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again series, joining Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Filming is currently underway in New York City.
In Marvel Comics, Iron Fist is the superhero identity of Danny Rand. Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, he debuted in “Marvel Premiere” #15 in 1974. Iron Fist is a skilled martial artist with the ability to harness mystical energy, known as the “Iron Fist,” to enhance his physical abilities. Danny Rand, son of Wendell Rand, inherits the title of Iron Fist. After his parents’ death, he defeats the mystical dragon Shou-Lao, gaining power by plunging his fists into its molten heart.
Jones previously appeared in the Netflix series Iron Fist, The Defenders, and Luke Cage. The mentioned series is now available only on Disney+.
Iron Fist is also set to appear in Marvel’s ‘Eyes of Wakanda,’ which is scheduled to stream on Disney+ in late 2024.
