The U.S. Copyright Office Public Records System provides a brief description of the first episode of ‘Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.’ In the first episode, we see Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) finally break out of a spell she has been trapped in. She can’t wait to go back to her old murderous ways only to find that she is powerless. The only way forward for her is to embark on a perilous quest to get her powers back with the help of an unlikely friend or two.
‘Agatha: Darkhold Diaries‘ is a Disney+ show created by Jac Schaeffer. It is based on the Marvel Comics character Agatha Harkness and serves as a spin-off from the series WandaVision.
The show focuses on the character Agatha Harkness (Hahn). Harkness is a witch from Salem, Massachusetts, who acquires dark magic from her own coven during the Salem witch trials. After 300 years, she came to know the chaos magic radiating from the Westview Anomaly created by Wanda Maximoff. According to the Illuminerdi, Agatha: Coven of Chaos will pick up where WandaVision leaves off in Westview. Agatha will be freed from Wanda’s spell by a new coven of witches. See the set images. The filming for ‘Agatha: Darkhold Diaries’ has wrapped after six months of a busy schedule.
The series also stars Emma Caulfield Ford as Sarah Proctor, Julian Hilliard as Billy Maximoff, Joe Locke as Teen, Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vidal, Ali Ahn as Alice, Maria Dizzia, Patti LuPone as Lilia Calderu, and Sasheer Zamata as Jennifer Kale.
‘Agatha: Darkhold Diaries’ will premiere on Disney+ on September 19, 2024. It will consist of 9 episodes, with each episode having a runtime of 30 minutes.
