David Corenswet‘s Superman seems to be in a heavy battle this time.
Recently leaked images from James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ filming spot in Cleveland reveal Superman with his battle-damaged suit.
Is Ch’p appearing in Superman?
What is Gunn cooking? In Superman, Green Lantern is confirmed to be appearing, played by Nathan Fillion (set images). There are images circulating that show a little squirrel on the set. It seems like Ch’p will be introduced in the film. Ch’p is a member of the Green Lantern Corps, an intergalactic police force.
We all know that Gunn has a special connection with animals from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy movies. In the third film, Gunn was crowned PETA’s Person of the Year. So, he will be adding some of DC’s animal characters to the film. Recently, an image shows Corenswet’s Superman holding something and possibly saving a puppy from an accident.
Gunn confirmed that he respects old Superman movies and that the script he made was definitely a sincere superhero movie. The film will be the DC Universe’s first film and the third installment of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, created by Gunn and Peter Safran. The film is being shot entirely in IMAX.
The film stars Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mr. Terrific, Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer, Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.
The updated logline for ‘Superman’ reveals that Superman, now a cub reporter in Metropolis, sets out on a journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.
Gunn’s ‘Superman’ will hit theaters on July 11, 2025.
