A new promo art for Pixar’s ‘Elio‘ has been revealed. The film, now slated for release in June 2025, follows 11-year-old Elio, who finds himself transported across the galaxy and is mistaken for the intergalactic ambassador of planet Earth. See the image below.
The film is written and directed by Adrian Molina, marking his feature directorial debut, and produced by Mary Alice Drumm. It is a collaboration between Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
The film stars Yonas Kibreab as Elio Solis, an eleven-year-old boy mistaken for Earth’s ambassador by aliens. America Ferrera plays Major Olga Solis, Elio’s mother overseeing a secret military project. Jameela Jamil voices Ambassador Questa, an alien envoy, with Brad Garrett voicing Ambassador Grigon.
What is the Plot of ‘Elio’?
‘Elio’ is an underdog with an active imagination who is inadvertently beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide. Mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe, and completely unprepared for that kind of pressure, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, survive a series of formidable trials and somehow discover who he is meant to be.

‘Elio’ is set to be released in theaters on June 13, 2025, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
