A new report confirms that Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man and Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher will team up for a major fight in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, a scene filmed for Spider-Man: Brand New Day features Spider-Man and the Punisher fighting mind-controlled Damage Control agents. These agents are attempting to free Michael Mando‘s Scorpion from prison.

Recently, scooper MTTSH also shared that Brand New Day features “insane” fight scenes involving Spider-Man, Punisher, and Mark Ruffalo‘s Hulk that have reportedly been filmed. The scooper claims Bernthal “only filmed in person for a very short while,” with his stunt double performing most of the action sequences.
Our source previously reported that in the movie, Bruce Banner becomes mentally controlled and transforms into the Savage Hulk, who begins wrecking New York City. Spider-Man (Tom Holland) tries to stop him but fails. However, the Punisher uses advanced technology and, together with Spider-Man, manages to stop the Hulk. He uses a gamma weapon that injures Hulk, forcing him back into his human form, leaving Bruce Banner badly hurt.
During filming at Doncaster Prison, it was reported that Holland’s Spider-Man will fight an army of ninjas inside the facility. The film will also feature a secondary villain described as “a dark, mysterious female character” with a Japanese-inspired look.
Is Sadie Sink playing a shapeshifter in Spider-Man: Brand New Day? The reports appear to be true, as she is said to be portraying a shapeshifter. Leaked footage shows armed police officers rushing toward Sink’s character.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sink joins the cast alongside Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.
During CinemaCon, Cretton said, “I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world.” He added, “We’re all just nerding out daily over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
