A new character description for Sadie Sink‘s character in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been revealed. Sink’s character has not yet been officially announced by Marvel Studios, but rumors suggest she is playing Jean Grey.

In a recent test screening of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, reports reportedly described Sink’s character as one of the best parts of the movie.

“Sink’s character is reportedly the standout of the film and is being called one of the best characters in the Multiverse Saga.”

In a recent leak we reported, Sink’s character has reportedly been under Department of Damage Control (DODC) surveillance for a long time. William Metzger (Tramell Tillman), the head of Damage Control, is said to be hunting her.

Frank Castle reportedly learns about the case and begins investigating it, which is expected to connect to Spider-Man: Brand New Day. He then decides to protect Sink’s character from Damage Control.

After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man.

Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ Watson and Ned Leeds. Sadie Sink joins the cast alongside Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle (a.k.a. The Punisher) and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Liza Colón-Zayas and Tramell Tillman have also been cast in undisclosed roles, while Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Marvin Jones III has been confirmed to play the role of Tombstone. Additionally, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear in the movie.

The film is produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters and IMAX on July 31, 2026.
