Following the premiere of ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2, episodes 1 and 2 debuted with an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. According to an IGN review, “House of the Dragon is still beautifully made and performed in Season 2’s opening pair of lengthy episodes, but these messy family dynamics can be frustrating rather than fascinating.”
‘House of the Dragon’ is serving as a prequel to ‘Game of Thrones.’ Set about 100 years after the Targaryen Conquest, it follows the events leading to the “Dance of the Dragons” war. The first season premiered in August 2022, and the series has been renewed for a second season by HBO, with Ryan Condal as the showrunner. The series was created by George R. R. Martin and Condal for HBO.
