Steve Martin, the creator of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building series, has confirmed that the upcoming season will premiere on August 8, 2023, on Hulu. In Only Murders in the Building season 3, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez reprise their roles as Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam, and Mabel Mora. The series also stars Paul Rudd as Ben Glenroy, Jesse Williams, Ashley Park, Jeremy Shamos, Linda Emond, and Wesley Taylor.
During Steve Martin’s “You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!” tour with Martin Short, Steve Martin revealed the release date for the third season of Only Murders in the Building. Martin said, “Catch the new season on August 8,” to which Short replied, “Our show is like Steve trying to pee — it streams for 33 minutes.” (Via Variety).
Most recently, Meryl Streep and Selena Gomez were spotted together on the set of ‘Only Murders in the Building’ season 3. Streep will appear as a recurring guest star, and her role is not yet confirmed.
Only Murders in the Building follows Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), neighbors at the Arconia on the Upper West Side, who connect over true crime podcasts and start their own when mysterious murders occur around them. In Season 1, they discovered Tim Kono’s (Julian Cihi) murder, and in Season 2, they discovered Bunny Folger’s (Jayne Houdyshell) murder. In Season 3, Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam, and Mabel Mora will uncover who killed Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd). Season 3 also stars Jesse Williams.
