StudioCanal has announced the release date for ‘Paddington in Peru.’ The movie will premiere in the UK on November 8, 2024, and then in U.S. cinemas on January 17, 2025, during MLK Weekend.
On Twitter (X), StudioCanal’s official account shared the release date and wrote, “We can finally reveal that ‘Paddington in Peru’s latest feature film, Paddington in Peru, will be coming to the big screen on November 8th, 2024.”
Directed by Dougal Wilson and written by Mark Burton, Jon Foster, and James Lamout, with a story contributed by Paul King, Simon Farnaby, and Burton. It’s based on the Paddington Bear stories created by Michael Bond, and it serves as the third installment in the Paddington film series, following ‘Paddington 2’ (2017).
The film stars Hugh Bonneville as Henry Brown, Emily Mortimer as Mary Brown, Madeleine Harris as Judy Brown, Samuel Joslin as Jonathan “J-Dog” Brown, Julie Walters as Mrs. Bird, Jim Broadbent as Samuel Gruber, Olivia Colman as The Reverend Mother, and Antonio Banderas as Hunter Cabot. Additionally, in voice roles, Ben Whishaw voices Paddington Brown, and Imelda Staunton voices Aunt Lucy.
During Cannes, Sony Pictures acquired the U.S., Canada, and key international rights for the third installment from Studiocanal and Heyday Films.
‘Paddington in Peru’ is set to premiere in the UK on November 8, 2024.
