EXCLUSIVE: First Look at Rachel Weisz as Evelyn on the Set of ‘The Mummy 4’ in London

The first look at Rachel Weisz as Evelyn O’Connell has been revealed from the set of The Mummy 4 in London.

Recently, while filming The Mummy 4 in London, Weisz’s Evelyn O’Connell was spotted wearing a period costume on a London street. Her look includes a wide-brimmed brown hat, a cropped brown jacket, a rust-colored blouse and scarf, a mustard-yellow polka-dot skirt, long leather gloves, dark heels, and a structured brown crocodile-print briefcase.

The first-look images of Brendan Fraser as Rick O’Connell have not yet been revealed. However, speaking on The Tonight Show, Fraser said he will be getting back “into shape” for The Mummy 4. He also teased that the “band will be getting back together.” Fans are now eagerly waiting to see how Rick O’Connell will appear in the movie.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the directors of The Mummy 4, describe the film as a dream project they have wanted to make for decades. Bettinelli-Olpin says that making an adventure movie set in the desert has always been a “Holy Grail” for the filmmaking duo.

Bettinelli-Olpin said, “An adventure movie in the desert is the Holy Grail for us.” He added, “We were raised on Indiana Jones. When The Mummy came around, we were a little older and fell in love with it. There’s something about it from that vantage point that is so thrilling to us.”

The directors describe the script as “beautiful and scary and sweeping,” saying it has “all of the heart and the character that you could hope for.”

They added, “I don’t think Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are getting involved unless they love that script… And it’s a good script. It’s gonna be fun to make.”

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will direct The Mummy 4 from David Coggeshall’s screenplay. The film will continue the original 1990s Mummy franchise while ignoring the events of the third installment.

Sean Daniel returns as producer alongside William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein of Project X Entertainment.

The Mummy 4 is scheduled to be released in the United States by Universal Pictures on October 15, 2027.
