Avengers: Doomsday production is underway in the United Kingdom. We have received major spoiler details about the filming status: instead of teaming up to fight Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom, the Avengers and X-Men are engaged in a massive battle.
According to industry insider Daniel Richtman in a post on his Patreon, Marvel Studios is reportedly filming an “epic fight” scene featuring the Avengers battling the X-Men for Avengers: Doomsday. The X-Men will appear in comic-accurate suits.
We previously reported that Victor Von Doom will use the Avengers and the Fantastic Four against the X-Men, taking advantage of his resemblance to Tony Stark to present himself as an ally within the MCU.
A rumor from Spanish source QuidVacuo revealed, “Downey Jr. will also play an alternate version of Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. In this version, Doom secretly causes a conflict between the Avengers and the X-Men. He uses the Avengers to go against the Mutants in order to weaken both teams. His real plan is to reach a powerful energy source that could help him restore his own destroyed universe.”
An X-Men star also recently confirmed that he will be fighting a major Fantastic Four character in Doomsday.
In Avengers: Doomsday, the MCU begins the beginning of the end. Directed by Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator, Stephen McFeely. Newton Thomas Sigel (Bohemian Rhapsody, X-Men: Days of Future Past) will be the cinematographer.

Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Lewis Pullman as Sentry.
