Report: Ayelet Zurer is set to return as Vanessa Marianna, also known as Vanessa Fisk, in Marvel’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘.
Marvel Brings Back Ayelet Zurer’s Vanessa Fisk in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’
On April 7, 2024, Zurer was spotted filming in New York with Vincent D’Onofrio for the upcoming show. She had previously been recast for the series before the creative reboot occurred.
In the image shared by Steve Sands (via New York Newswire), Zurer is seen having a conversation with D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. The first part of the show has recently wrapped, suggesting that it may be a minor scene they shot.
The show was co-directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. Dario Scardapane is the showrunner, replacing Matt Corman and Chris Ord.
According to the show’s new plot: Marvel Studios presents ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ in which longtime rivals Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio) try to leave behind their darker alter-egos to serve the people of New York only to have their pasts catch up to them.
The new cast for ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ includes Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn and Nikki M. James as Kristen McDuffie, both of whom were love interests of Murdock in Marvel Comics. Also, Michael Gandolfini will portray Daniel Blade, Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman, Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye, and Genneya Walton as BB Urich.
It is confirmed that ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 1, Part 1 and Part 2, is set to begin filming in November 2024.
‘Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
