Robert Downey Jr.’s Victor von Doom / Doctor Doom is not alone in Avengers: Doomsday; instead, he will reportedly have a team similar to Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
According to insider Daniel Richtman in a Patreon post, Doctor Doom will reportedly have multiple masked sidekicks in Avengers: Doomsday. They will be both men and women, and it is unclear whether they are followers or variants.
As we recently reported, Lucia von Bardas will be one of Doctor Doom’s female sidekicks in Avengers: Doomsday. The film also features multiple Doctor Doom variants. At least two of these variants are female: one wears a purple cloak with a golden mask, while another wears a gold cloak with a mask.
A recent rumor from scooper Alex P (via The Cosmic Circus) says that in Doomsday, Doom has a group called the “Harbingers of Doom.” Reported members include Captain Hydra, Maestro Hulk, and King Thanos, possibly mixed with Doom variants or Doombots. The group is inspired by Hickman’s Parliament of Doom and is tied to the Incursion crisis.
Marvel Studios has now released four teasers for Avengers: Doomsday, featuring Steve Rogers, Thor, the X-Men, and the Wakandans and Fantastic Four. Following this, the Russo brothers teased Avengers: Doomsday, saying, “What you’ve been watching for the last four weeks are not teasers or trailers. They are stories. They are clues. Pay attention.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
