Harvey Dent is confirmed to appear in Matt Reeves’ The Batman: Part II.
According to Jeff Sneider’s The InSneider report, Scarlett Johansson (Avengers: Endgame, Jurassic World Rebirth) is rumored to be playing Gilda Gold in The Batman: Part II. She is Harvey Dent’s wife. Warner Bros. has been in final talks with Johansson since early December.
It is reported that Harvey Dent’s father, Christopher Dent, will also appear in the film. Brad Pitt was reportedly offered the role of Christopher Dent but declined.

In DC Comics, Gilda Gold is Harvey Dent’s wife, first appearing in Detective Comics #66 (1942). She is often shown as a tragic character dealing with Harvey’s transformation into Two-Face, and in early stories she was revealed to have committed crimes while pretending to be Two-Face, a storyline that was later changed. She has not yet appeared in a live-action DC film.
The source also confirmed that Jeremiah Arkham will reportedly have a small role in The Batman: Part II.
Filming is scheduled to begin in May 2026 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in London, UK. As of now, pre-production has begun, along with the casting process.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Reeves said, “It’s been a journey that is taking longer than I would’ve wanted for a lot of reasons, a lot of personal reasons.” He added, “But the most important reason is getting it to a place where I just felt like it was the best script we could possibly write.”
Reeves continued, “Because of what the first movie was and what this movie is, which is so much a detective story, the idea of trying to protect the secrets of the movie is extremely important because it’s a mystery. It would be an extra level of heartbreak if that part of it started getting out.”
In the next chapter of Matt Reeves’s crime saga, Robert Pattinson reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, joined by returning cast members including Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Jim Gordon, Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, and Barry Keoghan, who is expected to return as the Joker. Reeves will direct and co-write the script with Mattson Tomlin.
The film is not part of the DC universe being developed by James Gunn and Peter Safran, though they are overseeing the project.
The Batman: Part II will hit theaters on October 1, 2027, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
