Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom is using powerful magic, as hinted in the plot details of Avengers: Doomsday.
Doom is from the Fantastic Four universe (Earth-828). A rumor suggests that Sue Storm and Reed Richards already know Doctor Doom. When he appears at the Baxter Building to see Franklin, Sue is not surprised to see him, as they are friends.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm believes that witches are the reason Doctor Doom behaves the way he does in Avengers: Doomsday. She believes they are manipulating him into doing terrible things.
It was previously reported that Doctor Doom will have the ability to control machines and robots through magic runes. He will take command of Sentinels from the X-Men universe and use them against the heroes.
So, there is a chance that Avengers: Secret Wars may take elements from the Children’s Crusade comics but adapt them for Secret Wars. Doctor Doom reportedly rules Battleworld from a massive fortress and keeps Scarlet Witch imprisoned because her chaos magic helps hold the multiverse together.
We previously reported that Avengers: Doomsday features Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom’s past and what happened to his family. Victor von Doom’s wife, Valeria, and his son were killed in an accident, and Victor himself was severely injured, leaving his body badly damaged.
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
