The ‘Blade‘ trilogy star is coming to the MCU.
Is Wesley Snipes set to return as Blade in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga?
According to a reliable insider, Daniel Richtman confirmed on Patreon that Wesley Snipes will reportedly reprise his role as Eric Brooks/Blade in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga. Recently, Snipes signed a deal with Marvel for his return.
The upcoming Multiverse films in the MCU are Deadpool & Wolverine, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and Avengers: Secret Wars. However, we have no idea in which film Snipes will reprise the Blade role. Marvel had a special connection with Snipes and the ‘Blade’ film. During the bankruptcy, the first ‘Blade’ film saved them, leading Marvel to produce more CBM films.
There is already a ‘Blade’ film in development at Marvel. The film will be part of the MCU, and Mahershala Ali will play the role of Blade. Filming is set to begin in the UK later this year.
‘Blade’ was released in 1998, grossing $131.2 million worldwide. This success led to the sequel ‘Blade II‘ in 2002, followed by ‘Blade: Trinity‘ in the same year, concluding the trilogy with a total gross of $414 million.
Directed by Yann Demange from a screenplay by Michael Starrbury, Nic Pizzolatto, and Michael Green, the cast also includes Delroy Lindo as Deacon Frost, John West Jr. as DEE, Mia Goth, and Milan Ray.
‘Blade’ is scheduled to hit theaters on November 7, 2025.
