In Marvel’s ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ Hugh Jackman will play a version of Wolverine who works as a mercenary. He’ll look just like he did in ‘The Wolverine,’ but with a green jacket.
A New Wolverine Variant Confirmed in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
According to insider CanWeGetToast on X, a mercenary variant of Wolverine is reportedly set to appear in the film.
“It’s like Hugh Jackman’s character from ‘The Wolverine,’ but wearing a green jacket.”
It was already revealed that multiple versions of Wolverine will be in the movie. They include the original Wolverine, James ‘Logan’ Howlett, Laura Kinney known as X-23, Daken also known as Akihiro, Old Man Logan, and Jimmy Hudson from the Ultimate Universe.
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ reportedly undergo reshoots in May ahead of its July release, as confirmed by Insider Daniel RPK on Patreon.
Recently, the first trailer for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was released, setting a record for the most-viewed trailer of all time with 365 million views in 24 hours. Additionally, it has been confirmed that a new official trailer for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ will be released next month. The trailer, which will be 1 minute and 38 seconds long, has been listed on the official website of the British Board of Film Classification. The trailer, titled “Trailer C,” has been rated 12A by the board.

In the film, Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Jackman as Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and new additions Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. The script is penned by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy.
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ hits theaters on July 26, 2024, in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens worldwide.
