It’s a very fraught situation for Robert Pattinson with his Batman role and the movie sequel. He said that he started as young Batman and will be old Batman in The Batman: Part II.
In a recent interview with HERO Magazine for the promotion of his new movie Mickey 17, Naomi Ackie asked Pattinson about playing Batman again in the Matt Reeves movie sequel.

Pattinson said, “I fuc**** hope so. [laughs] I started out as young Batman, and I’m going to be fucking old Batman by the sequel.”
Pattinson added, “I’m old, but I’m healthier. I think I’ve actually brought my biological age down a bit.”
While speaking to EXTRA TV, Pattinson addressed the delay for The Batman: Part II. He said that Reeves is currently writing the script.
Pattinson said, “Matt [Reeves] is a very careful writer, but I finally now know what it’s about. It’s very cool, and I’m very excited.”

The Batman: Part II will continue the Batman story created by Reeves. In the film, Pattinson will return as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, and Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone.
There are also rumors that Dr. Victor Fries, a.k.a. Mr. Freeze, will be one of the villains in the movie.
In an interview with SFX Magazine, Reeves said The Batman: Part II will be a new mystery that explores corruption even further. He added that the story builds on the first movie.
Reeves said, “It’s another mystery that’s going to dig into the epic story about deeper corruption & it goes into places that he couldn’t even anticipate in the first one. The seeds of where this goes are all in the first movie.”
The film is not part of the DC universe being developed by James Gunn and Peter Safran, though they are overseeing the project.
The Batman: Part II will hit theaters on October 1, 2027, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
