Ruaridh Mollica, Lolly Adefope, and Isaac Cole Powell recreate the famous ‘threesome scene’ of Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor from Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Challengers.’ The trio stars in the upcoming HBO series ‘The Franchise,’ which follows the challenges faced by a film crew during the production of a superhero film.

‘Challengers’ has recently been released in theaters and is running successfully. The plot follows Tashi, a former tennis player turned coach, who has transformed her husband from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a challenger event — close to the lowest level of the tournament on the pro tour. Tensions soon run high when he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now burnt-out Patrick, his former best friend, and Tashi’s former boyfriend.
‘The Franchise,’ created by Armando Iannucci, Sam Mendes, and Jon Brown, explores the tumultuous world of superhero filmmaking. The series follows the chaos within the crew of an unpopular franchise movie, shedding light on the process of creating cinematic blockbusters and the origins of every mistake.
‘The Franchise’ will premiere on HBO this fall.
