Marvel’s upcoming ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ features Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, a telekinetic and telepathic mutant who is Charles Xavier’s twin sister and the film’s main villain. Recently, Ryan Reynolds called Corrin “one of the best partners I’ve ever had in the Deadpool series.”
In an interview with the June/July issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Reynolds said “[Corrin] is one of the greatest partners I’ve ever had in the Deadpool sandbox,” adding, “You heard me, Jackman.”
Reynolds continued, “Emma brought Gene Wilder energy to Deadpool & Wolverine. Mischief, danger, unpredictability—from their first scene onward, we understand the villain enough to know why she’s motivated to oppose our heroes. And that’s because Emma is so fuck*** excellent at humanizing even the most chaotic lines. The only thing we love more than hating a villain is loving one. And we love Emma’s Cassandra Nova from the jump.”
Directed by Shawn Levy. In the film, Reynolds will reprise his role as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Rob Delaney as Peter, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, and new additions Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. The script is penned by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, Reynolds, and Levy.
In Marvel Studios ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, Wade Wilson is confronted by the TVA, which pulls him from a seemingly quiet life and results in Deadpool being unleashed.
‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ will hit theaters on July 26, 2024; the tickets are on sale at Fandango, AMC, IMAX, and Cinemark. The film will be released on IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens worldwide.
