Is Deadpool Christmas Movie Dropped?
A Christmas film for Deadpool has dropped due to the shuffle of Disney acquiring Fox. Speaking to Big Issue, Reynolds said that four years ago he, Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick wrote a Christmas-themed film for Deadpool, but it got lost in the shuffle of Disney acquiring Fox and it never got made. The script contains melodies and a dance number in a Deadpool movie. He said, “I would love to see a song and dance number in a Deadpool movie. Four years ago, [Deadpool co-writers] Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and I wrote a Christmas Movie starring Deadpool. But it got lost in the shuffle of Disney acquiring Fox, and it never got made.
A Deadpool Christmas Movie Is Possible in the Future
Reynolds still believes that one day he could make the Deadpool Christmas movie, but “It’s not a musical.”
“Maybe one day we’ll get to make that movie. It’s not a musical, but it’s a full Deadpool Christmas movie. So one day.” he added.
Deadpool 3 is in active development. The film is listed as an “Untitled Deadpool and Wolverine” movie. The film stars Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Directed by Shawn Levy and the script is penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The film will hit theaters on November 8, 2024.
