Krysten Ritter, known for ‘Jessica Jones‘ and ‘Breaking Bad,’ is reportedly cast in ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3‘ in an undisclosed role, confirmed by insider Daniel Richtman on Patreon.
‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ serves as a sequel to ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ (2020) and ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ (2022), continuing the storyline introduced in ‘Knuckles’ (2024). Directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, the movie is based on the Sega video game series.
The film stars Ben Schwartz as Sonic the Hedgehog, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Miles “Tails” Prower, and Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna. The live-action cast includes James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski, and Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone. Shadow the Hedgehog is also set to make an appearance.
Filming kicked off in Farnham, Surrey, England, in July 2023, with an initial set of pictures appearing. Amid the SAG-AFTRA strike, no actors or shooting equipment were spotted. Physical actors joined the production in November 2023 in London, with additional filming planned for Los Angeles, Japan, and Norway.
The first teaser for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ will be revealed soon, along with the film’s title tagline.
Ritter is known for her roles in Breaking Bad, Apartment 23, Jessica Jones, and The Defenders. In 2023, she appeared in the HBO series Love & Death.
