The live-action Miles Morales ‘Spider-Man‘ film is currently in development at Sony Pictures.

According to insider Jeff Sneider, who revealed this information on The Hot Mic podcast, Sony has reportedly begun searching for an actor to play the live-action version of Miles Morales. There is no confirmation or rumors regarding the cast yet. However, I can confirm that some of the top stars are being considered at this time.

Speaking to Empire, Shameik Moore, who voiced Miles Morales in Sony’s animated Spider-Verse films, said he is ready to play the live-action Miles Morales role. However, it depends on how old Sony wants Miles to be by the time they’re ready to make a live-action movie.

Moore said, “I feel like everyone knows I would be a great [live-action] Miles Morales.” Moore added, “It just depends on how old they want Miles to be by the time they’re ready to do a live-action movie. That’s the conundrum with whether or not I end up playing him.”

There is a greater chance that live-action Miles Morales will be introduced in Tom Holland‘s ‘Spider-Man 4,’ which is scheduled to begin filming in late September 2024.

In an interview with Inverse, MCU’s Spider-Man star Holland said he was honored to introduce Miles Morales to the live-action Spider-Man film. He said, “I would be honored to bring Miles Morales into the live-action world. How we do that, I don’t know, but given the opportunity, I would jump at it.”

The upcoming film in the Spider-Verse is ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse,’ which does not yet have a release date.
