Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man 4 was initially scheduled for a June 2025 theatrical release. It is now set to release in July 2026, as confirmed by The Cosmic Circus’s Alex P.
As previously reported, Sony has already listed an untitled Sony/Marvel live-action movie set for June 27, 2025. It is confirmed to be Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man 4. Filming is set to begin next year.
On X (formerly Twitter), Alex P wrote, “Originally, the set date for Spider-Man 4 is delayed. As of this moment, the film has been moved to July 2026.”
Most recently, it has been confirmed that Marvel Studios and Sony have reportedly negotiated a new deal. This deal will have Holland reprising his role as Spider-Man/Peter Parker in three more solo films (Spider-Man 4-6) and three additional MCU films, including Avengers: Secret Wars and two others.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton will direct Spider-Man 4 from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, known for their work on previous MCU Spider-Man films. Sony is trying to bring back Zendaya, while Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds will not be returning.
According to reports, Spider-Man 4 reportedly features Tom Hardy’s Venom and Knull (the Symbiote God) and is being developed as a street-level story.
Produced by Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, and Avi Arad, Spider-Man 4 will hit theaters in July 2026.
