Netflix has revealed a sneak peek of ‘Squid Game‘ Season 2, confirming its scheduled premiere on the platform in 2024.
In the short clip, Lee Jung-jae‘s Seong Gi-hun gets a phone call, saying, “You’ll regret your decision.” Gi-hun replied, “I will find you, no matter what it takes.” See the first look images below.
Netflix revealed its 2024 lineup, bringing back popular shows like Squid Game, Bridgerton, The Diplomat, Umbrella Academy, Rebel Moon, and Beverly Hills Cop. New additions include 3 Body Problem, Avatar, Back in Action, and Atlas, offering a glimpse of Netflix’s major shows, movies, and events.
‘Squid Game,’ with its nine-episode first season in 2021, became a massive hit for Netflix. The drama, centered around a life-threatening competition for ₩45.6 billion, earned 14 Emmy nominations and won six, including Best Drama Series. At the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards, it made history as the first non-English and Korean series to receive nominations for various categories, with Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon winning. The series also took home three Golden Globe Awards, including Best TV Drama.
