Speaking to GQ, Episode 3, “Connor’s Wedding,” director Mark Mylod explained a key moment improvised by the actors. He said, “In the same way, one of my favourite moments in the episode just happened, too. Right at the end of the episode when Sarah’s character has just done the press briefing, and the three of them fall into this three-way hug before going their separate ways. That wasn’t in the script. But Sarah’s character and Jeremy’s character holding hands were in the script, and it killed me on the day. Any time we get that window into their childhood, it’s such a lovely thing. It just deepens our connection to those characters and our understanding of them.”
According to the HBO Max logline, Succession Season 4 is as follows:
The sale of Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) looms ever closer, provoking angst and division among the Roys in the fourth and final season of Jesse Armstrong’s Emmy®-winning series.
