Warning: This post contains spoilers for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
Following the world premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, a big surprise has been revealed: the film contains multiple post-credit scenes.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has two post-credit scenes, one teasing a sequel and the other a spinoff.”
The 2023 Super Mario Bros. Movie also featured two post-credits scenes that directly set up the sequel. One showed a miniature Bowser singing about Princess Peach from inside his cage, while the second teased Yoshi’s arrival with a cracking green-and-white egg.

Recently, insider Daniel Richtman shared details about the two post-credits scenes of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie online. Yoshi, voiced by Donald Glover, is the main focus.
Glen Powell’s Star Fox has a big role, showing his past and his plan to return to his own universe. In the first post-credits scene, Star Fox leaves the prison where Bowser is being held. Toad asks, “What’s next?” and Fox replies, “It’s time to go home,” before flying away in his new ship. This sets up a possible spin-off.
The second post-credits scene takes place in a “hub world” where the heroes met Star Fox earlier. It also includes a monkey character who steals things.
That character is Princess Daisy, a fun and energetic princess first seen in Super Mario Land (1989), where Mario rescued her from Tatanga. She didn’t appear again in a major way until Mario Tennis in 2000.
Daisy is usually shown as being close to Princess Peach and as Luigi’s love interest. In The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, she does not speak, which may mean her full role is being saved for a future sequel.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is an animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros. and serves as a follow-up to The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023), which earned more than $1.3 billion worldwide. Both the 2023 film and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are produced by Chris Meledandri of Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is directed by returning filmmakers Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, from a screenplay by returning writer Matthew Fogel, with Brian Tyler returning to compose the score.
Synopsis: Mario and Luigi join up with Princess Peach, Yoshi, and Toad on a quest into the far reaches of space and across the galaxy in order to face against Bowser Jr., Bowser’s son who plans to retrieve and free his father from being shrunken and imprisoned.
The film stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Donald Glover as Yoshi, Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr., Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad (Captain Toad), Brie Larson as Rosalina, Jack Black as Bowser, Kenny James as Bowser (archive roars and grunts), Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, Juliet Jelenic as Lumalee, Luis Guzmán as King Wart, Issa Rae as Honey Queen, and Ed Skudder as R.O.B., with TBA roles including Lumas, Fox McCloud, Birdo, and Mouser.
