The first teaser for The Boys Season 5 was revealed at San Diego Comic‑Con 2025.
Season 5 already looks like absolute peak television based on everything shown in the teaser so far. Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy is returning, and Jared Padalecki’s character makes his first appearance.
In Season 5, Ackles returns as Soldier Boy, while Misha Collins and Padalecki join Season 5; multiple deaths will occur, Homelander is in full control, Butcher (Karl Urban) is in full avenge mode with powers, and Starlight has more power than she has ever had in all previous seasons.

The showrunner, Eric Kripke, has described Season 5 as the show’s version of the apocalypse, and it is produced by Sony Pictures Television in association with Point Grey Pictures, Original Film, Kripke Enterprises, Kickstart Entertainment, and KFL Nightsky Productions.
The Boys Season 5 is set to premiere on Prime Video sometime in 2026.
