For The Exorcist fans, Mike Flanagan’s The Exorcist: Martyrs trailer is coming very soon.
The first trailer for Flanagan’s The Exorcist: Martyrs has been officially rated by Consumer Protection BC, and it has a runtime of 2 minutes and 27 seconds.

Flanagan and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who star in The Exorcist: Martyrs, will attend BlumFest at the 2026 New York Comic Con on October 9, 2026 (Friday). The trailer is expected to be released on the same day.
It is also rumored that the The Exorcist: Martyrs trailer will be shown before Other Mommy, starring Jessica Chastain, which is set to be released in theaters on October 9.
According to insider CriticalOverlord, the trailer for The Exorcist: Martyrs is “2 mins and 30 secs” long and will feature flashes of Scarlett Johansson finding bodies, discussions about past possessed killers, and scenes of death penalty protests.
What is the Plot of The Exorcist: Martyrs?
“The Exorcist: Martyrs follows a single-mother police officer (Scarlett Johansson) who, 13 years after taking down a notorious satanic serial killer (John Leguizamo), investigates a new series of murders connected to her past, while her 12-year-old son (Jacobi Jupe) becomes the target of a terrifying demonic force.”
In a recent interview with Polygon, Samantha Sloyan believes The Exorcist: Martyrs could be Flanagan’s scariest project yet. Sloyan says she cannot reveal much about the movie because she has a small role and is only “in and out” of the film.
Sloyan said, “I can’t really say anything because the truth is I’m such a small component. I am really in and out.” She added, “So I am going to leave that for people who truly own that movie. But I was really excited to be a part of it. From the little that I saw just working there and what I could see on the monitors and stuff like that, it’s absolutely a stunning movie, and I think it’s going to be probably the scariest thing that I’ve seen him do thus far. I’m very excited.”
The film stars Johansson alongside Diane Lane, Jupe, Ejiofor, Laurence Fishburne, Sasha Calle, Leguizamo, Rahul Kohli, Hamish Linklater, Gil Bellows, Carl Lumbly, John Gallagher Jr., Benjamin Pajak, Carla Gugino, Robert Longstreet, Matt Biedel, Sloyan, and Kate Siegel.
Produced by David Robinson, Jason Blum, and Flanagan, with Alexandra Magistro and Ryan Turek serving as executive producers. The film is a production of Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, and Morgan Creek Entertainment, in association with Flanagan’s Red Room Pictures.
The Exorcist: Martyrs will hit theaters on March 12, 2027, by Universal Pictures.
