The Iron Fist is set to appear in Marvel’s ‘Eyes of Wakanda,’ which is scheduled to stream on Disney+ in late 2024.

Who is Iron Fist in Marvel Comics?

In Marvel Comics, Iron Fist is the superhero identity of Danny Rand. Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, he debuted in “Marvel Premiere” #15 in 1974. Iron Fist is a skilled martial artist with the ability to harness mystical energy, known as the “Iron Fist,” to enhance his physical abilities. Danny Rand, son of Wendell Rand, inherits the title of Iron Fist. After his parents’ death, he defeats the mystical dragon Shou-Lao, gaining power by plunging his fists into its molten heart.

Iron Fist appeared in comics and debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) through the ‘Iron Fist’ Netflix series, played by Finn Jones.

According to Variety, Director Ryan Coogler, known for the Black Panther movies, will be part of the ‘Eyes of Wakanda’ series. He is currently in a multi-year TV deal with the Walt Disney Company through his Proximity Media banner.

‘Eyes of Wakanda’ will premiere on Disney+ in 2024.
