The VOD release date for The Mandalorian and Grogu has been revealed.
The film will be available to buy or rent on digital HD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play Movies starting July 21, 2026.
The film has scored an 89% audience score and a 62% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, along with an A- CinemaScore, a 7.1/10 rating on IMDb, an 89% Fandango score, and a 53% score on Metacritic.
Directed by Jon Favreau from a screenplay co-written with Dave Filoni, the film is part of the Star Wars franchise and serves as a continuation of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian (2019–2023).
Synopsis: “The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.”
In the film, Pascal stars as Din Djarin / The Mandalorian, alongside Grogu, with Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt, Jonny Coyne as Janu Coin, Martin Scorsese as Hugo Durant, Sigourney Weaver as Ward, and Steve Blum reprising his role as Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is now playing in theaters.
