The Avengers: Doomsday reshoots have added new scenes for Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki, including one involving him in the post-credits scene, which could lead into Avengers: Secret Wars.
According to scooper James Mack (via Patreon), there have been multiple reshoots for Avengers: Doomsday, and Tom Hiddleston was present. Reportedly, Loki will be killed by Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.
One of the scenes filmed during the reshoots featuring Loki is being considered for the movie’s post-credits scene.
The post-credits scene would reportedly reveal that Loki is actually alive, but without the powers he gained in the Loki series.
We previously reported that additional scenes involving Loki and the TVA were reportedly filmed for Avengers: Doomsday, along with an unannounced actor. Originally, the film featured only a few TVA scenes, but more material has since been added.
In the rumored plot leak, the second act of Avengers: Doomsday reportedly features Doctor Doom taking Loki’s heart to perform a ritual using Loki’s heart, Franklin, and the Book of God. In the final act, Thor prays to Odin, who sends him an army that reportedly includes the Avengers: Infinity War version of Loki.
Here’s the new synopsis for Avengers: Doomsday:
“Earth’s Mightiest Heroes—Steve Rogers, Shuri, Thor, Loki, Ant-Man, Captain America, Falcon, Shang-Chi, Bucky Barnes, Yelena Belova, and Red Guardian—along with the Avengers, will return as distinct universes (Earth-616, Earth-828, and Earth-10005) are set on a deadly collision course, facing an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.”
Directed by the Russo brothers from a screenplay by their longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron.
