Marvel Studios has already cast a female main villain for the upcoming Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man 4. Recently, Sadie Sink was tapped for a role, but it has been confirmed that she is not playing the villain.
According to a reliable scooper, MyTimeToShineHello, on X (formerly Twitter), Spider-Man 4 will feature a female main villain. It’s not Sink. The role has already been cast, and an official announcement is coming soon.

So, who will be the villain in the new Spider-Man movie? There are rumors that Kingpin could hire foreign mercenaries to hunt down vigilantes in New York City if his Anti-Vigilante Task Force fails. Also, in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, Madame Web (Dakota Johnson) already exists. She is one of Spider-Man’s main villains in Marvel Comics.
Our source has already reported that Sink is playing the role of Mary Jane Watson in the movie. She could be Peter Parker’s new love interest. Meanwhile, Zendaya’s role as Michelle ‘MJ’ Jones-Watson will have a brief cameo due to her schedule with other projects.

Insider Daniel Richtman confirmed in a Patreon post that Spider-Man 4 will reportedly feature a new supporting cast. The film is said to offer a fresh take on the character and a new direction under Destin Daniel Cretton.
According to reports, “Marvel Studios has reportedly made an offer to an A-list actor to play the main villain role in Spider-Man 4.”
Marvel and Sony have already mapped out a plan for Spider-Man 5 and Spider-Man 6. They are planning a trilogy similar to the previous one.
The filming is scheduled to begin in June 2025 in the United Kingdom and is expected to wrap in October 2025. The script is reportedly still undergoing rewrites by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers following the weak structure of the early draft. The film now has a production budget of $200 million.
Directed by Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by McKenna and Sommers, it will be the fourth installment of the Spider-Man series.
The film will be produced by Amy Pascal, Rachel O’Connor, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Mitch Bell.
Spider-Man 4 will hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
