Tony Todd, the voice behind Venom, unveils that a mere 10% of his recorded dialogue for the character made its way into Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man 2‘ by Insomniac.
Todd also confirmed that additional dialogues, possibly saved for future use, were recorded, including lines for scrapped scenes involving Miles Morales with the symbiote in ‘Spider-Man 2’.
According to our analysis, There might be two possibilities: 1) 90% of the recorded dialogue was cut to save time, or 2) it might be saved for future DLC releases, adding more content to the game.
Will there be a possible Venom spinoff game?
Insomniac Games’ senior narrative director, Jon Paquette, revealed in a recent interview with Insider that, following the launch of Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man 2,’ the development team plans to take a break. Afterward, they’ll decide on the next steps for a potential Venom spinoff, considering “what the fans really want.”
Paquette said, “We’re focused on Spider-Man 2, and what we’re going to do is wait to see how the fans react.” Paquette added, “We’re going to listen to the fans, and we’re going to ask ourselves, ‘Okay, what do the fans really want?’ We’ll kind of talk about stuff after we’ve all had time to sleep and take vacations.”
