Marvel’s VisionQuest Could Give Vision His Own Infinity Stone-Like Upgrade

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Marvel’s VisionQuest.

Vision is getting a major power upgrade in Marvel Television’s VisionQuest.

Before the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Vision drew his powers directly from the Mind Stone. In VisionQuest, White Vision’s power reportedly comes from a combination of Wanda’s chaos magic and remnants of the Mind Stone left within that magic.

According to scooper James Mack, Vision will get the Solar Jewel in VisionQuest, just like his comic book counterpart.

In Marvel Comics, the Solar Jewel was created by Professor Phineas Horton. It absorbs sunlight, converts it into ambient energy, and distributes that energy to power Vision’s synthetic body. This allows him to function at night using stored energy reserves and fire solar-energy beams of varying intensity.

In the VisionQuest trailer, Billy and Tommy appear to use their powers on Vision. Could they be rebuilding him and giving him the Solar Jewel in the process? One fan theory suggests that this could be how Vision receives the powerful forehead jewel.

In the VisionQuest premiere, Paul Bettany reveals that no one has tried to find Vision since the events of WandaVision. Vision says, “There isn’t an enemy, an acquaintance… or even an Avenger trying to find the Vision.”

Bettany revealed that he drew inspiration from his own childhood experiences when portraying Vision, recalling how he felt like an outsider who was bullied and struggled to fit in.

Bettany said, “I finally realized that I was really making Vision for a version of me as a child, where I felt like the outsider who was bullied. I didn’t think I would ever fit in anywhere. So it’s just a moment to remind [us]… It’s sitting on a chair at a dance, a school dance, you know what I mean? And having the courage to go and talk to a girl.”

The series is directed by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali, Terry Matalas, and written by Terry Matalas, Cindy Appel, Christopher Monfette, Nicole Falsetti, and Matthew Okumura.

Here’s the synopsis for VisionQuest:
