Warner Bros. Animation has officially revealed the production update and release date for the upcoming feature adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic, ‘The Cat in the Hat‘.
Who Will Be Starring In The Animated Movie Adaptation Of ‘The Cat in the Hat’?
The animated movie will feature Bill Hader (Barry) in the title role, with Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Bowen Yang (SNL), Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows), and Paula Pell (Girls5eva) joining the cast.
In this new feature version, directed and written by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, The Cat faces his toughest challenge yet: cheering up a pair of siblings adjusting to a new town. The film is produced by Daniela Mazzucato and Jared Stern, with Bill Hader and Susan Brandt serving as executive producers. DNEG Animation is the animation studio partner.

‘The Cat in the Hat’ is a classic children’s book written by Dr. Seuss in 1957. It’s about a mischievous cat who visits two kids, Sally and her brother, while their mother is away. The cat, along with Thing 1 and Thing 2, creates chaos in the house but manages to clean up before the mother returns. In 2003, Universal Pictures released a live-action adaptation of ‘The Cat in the Hat,’ with Mike Myers starring in the lead role. The film grossed over $133 million worldwide.
