The early free screenings of ‘The Flash’ happened more than they should have, letting many people watch it for free instead of paying. Some of these fans recorded and leaked parts of the movie on TikTok, YouTube, and other social media platforms before it was officially released.
The leaked footage showed bad CGI, which turned people off from watching it. Along with mixed reviews and word-of-mouth, these factors contributed to the movie’s poor performance. Directed by Andy Muschietti and written by Christina Hodson, the plot is based on the comic book storyline “Flashpoint,” and follows: Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation. With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian—albeit not the one he’s looking for. Read our review.
