After 20 years, he reprised his role in “Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021),” which is based on a multiverse storyline that brings together many versions of Spider-Man from other universes, featuring the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their respective versions of the character.
Willem Dafoe Is Ready To Comeback As Green Goblin
In an interview with Inverse, During the promotion of his upcoming psychological thriller film “Inside,” Dafoe was asked, “if there was ever a chance that we’d see his Green Goblin again?” He replied, “If everything was right, sure.” He added, “I mean, that’s a great role. I liked the fact that it’s a double role both times. Twenty years ago, and fairly recently, both times [were] very different experiences, but I had a good time on both.”
Dafoe has appeared in over 100 films, working with many acclaimed directors such as Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Lars von Trier, and Oliver Stone. He has received four Oscar nominations for his work in “Platoon,” “Shadow of the Vampire,” “The Florida Project,” and “At Eternity’s Gate.”
