Gal Gadot revealed that she talked to James Gunn and Peter Safran about making ‘Wonder Woman 3‘ together. The old version didn’t fit with Gunn’s new ideas, and Patty Jenkins, who directed the first two movies, left. Now, Gunn and Safran are finding a new director for the third Wonder Woman film. Most recently, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman appeared in ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods‘ and ‘The Flash‘.
Gal Gadot Confirms Collaboration with James Gunn and Peter Safran for ‘Wonder Woman 3’
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com’s Chris Killian, Gadot revealed that she’ll collaborate with James Gunn and Peter Safran on Wonder Woman 3, sharing, “From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together.“
Gadot said, “I love portraying Wonder Woman.” Gadot added, “It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together.”
Speaking about the new Superman casting, Gadot said, “I saw that they were testing, doing different screen tests, but I don’t know who got it, but it seemed like everyone was super legit and talented and, like, great.” She added, “I’m happy for them. It’s such a huge take-on, and it’s such an exciting beginning to any actor, and I wish whoever it’s going to be the best of luck and enjoy the ride.”
DC Studios recently confirmed David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane in the upcoming movie “Superman: Legacy,” directed by Gunn.
Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot was released in 2017, and the film has grossed over $822 million worldwide against a production budget of $120–150 million. It has also received high praise from critics. The sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, was released in 2020 and grossed $169.6 million worldwide against a production budget of $200 million. The film is a flop as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and its limited theatrical run.
