Marvel Studios has released new promotional art for Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97 Season 2. Following the cliffhanger ending of Season 1, the artwork reveals updated looks at the characters and hints at their next phase.
It seems the characters are being organized into classic teams from the comics. Cable’s lineup resembles X-Force with Archangel, Psylocke, Sunspot, and Jubilee, while Beast, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Polaris make up X-Corp. There’s also an Ancient Egypt team featuring Beast, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Bishop, and Magneto.
Season 2 follows the X-Men fighting Apocalypse and trying to get back to the 90s.
