The film, written and directed by Cregger, follows an inexplicable case in which seventeen children from the same classroom mysteriously vanish on the same night, apparently abducted by an unseen force. It is produced by Cregger, Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, J.D. Lifshitz, and Raphael Margules.

Weapons was released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on August 8, 2025.
